Our lamps are made 100% from wood, handcrafted with care for the environment.
To create them, we use beech plywood and ash veneer. We carefully select both types of wood, focusing on the highest quality and attention to every detail.
Common Ash, belonging to the olive family, is a long-lived tree that can live for over 300 years. It is one of the tallest trees in Europe, reaching heights of 30 – 40 meters. It produces wood of very good quality. It is known for its hardness while maintaining considerable flexibility, which is why it used to be used for making bows, spears, skis, and tennis rackets. Nowadays, it is widely used in furniture making and guitar production. Due to its hardness, elasticity, and rich grain, it is an ideal material for building our lamps. Each of our lamps is unique and one-of-a-kind, just like the wood it is made from.
Common beech, one of the oldest deciduous tree species in Europe, is characterized by a durable, solid structure that is also flexible for processing. It is an exclusive, slow-growing tree, which is why it takes longer to obtain the raw material. It has a natural, subtle and visually pleasing shade that gives objects made from it a sense of style and elegance. It is resistant to mechanical damage and very durable.
The wood we use to make our lamps is a natural material and different batches of the raw material we use have different wood grain patterns, which is why each piece is unique. The photos on the website may also differ from the lamp that will end up in your hands.
